MadejPak carried out a comprehensive three-stage packaging automation for Axpal. Successive phases covered vertical machines with multihead scales, a flow wrap machine and a dedicated tube — each tailored to the specific characteristics of delicate, lightweight products.
Starting situation
Packaging was performed manually. High production volumes and the delicate nature of the products (light, brittle snacks) made the manual process inefficient and insufficient for further scaling.
Challenge
Full automation at high throughputs. Packaging delicate, lightweight products — popcorn, crisps and pretzels — without damaging them. Each stage required an individually selected solution.
Project scope
Phase 1: Essegi vertical machine with multihead scales for popcorn weighing and packaging
Phase 2: GSP 65 Evo PB flow wrap machine for crisp packaging
Phase 3: vertical machine with scales and a custom tube for pretzel packaging
Implementation results
Full automation of packaging for three snack categories
High throughput while preserving delicate product integrity
Dedicated solution for each product type
